Dr. John Hauser has over 30 years’ experience as a practicing health care professional, dedicating his adult life to the study and practice of holistic health care.
Graduating with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1983, Dr. Hauser worked on the renal transplant unit of Froederdt Memorial Lutheran Hospital for a year before pursuing his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine in Seattle, Washington which was granted in 1989.
He then went to India to get more experience in homeopathic prescribing, interning with Dr. Sharada Venkatsubbiah as well as interning in the labor and delivery unit of St. Philomena's Hospital in Bangalore, India. From there, Dr. Hauser did observation and homeopathic prescribing at the natural birth center of the Tagesklinic, an obstetric and gynecological practice with two gynecologist sand seven midwives providing gynecological and obstetric care in Kassel, Germany.
Dr. Hauser has been practicing the in Twin Cities for more than thirty years. He has continued to study both informally and formally. He obtained his Masters of Oriental Medicine at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Roseville, Minnesota in 2009 to qualify as a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Oriental herbalism, QI Gong,Tui Na & Chinese Dietary therapy.
He furthered his knowledge of Western Herbalism, studying formally with Lise Wolff and further studied homeopathy with Lou Klein in a Master's course in homeopathy that was three years long.
Consults are done in person at Life Medical Clinic. The charge is $300 for the initial holistic health intake, $140 for follow up appointments, and $80 per acupuncture treatment or $140 for acupuncture and herbal consultation in the same follow up appointment.
Other than his passion for the study and practice of holistic medicine, Dr. Hauser devotes his life to his family of three children and spending much time in nature, harvests & prepares some of his herbal remedies, bicycles & swims in natural bodies of water.
